Russian cinema: an introduction (SLAV 2785): Film magazines

This guide is to assist in research on pre-revolutionary Russian, Soviet, and post-Soviet Russian cinema. It provides guidelines for library use and lists some of the most useful reference materials, databases, websites, and book catalogs.

Film magazines

Most magazines dealing with Russian film are in Russian and are found in Global Resources Center reading room on the 7th floor of Gelman library:
Kinovedcheskie zapiski: Call no.: PN1993 .K554 Leading Russian scholarly magazine on the subject
Iskusstvo kino: Call no.: PN1993 .I7 Another major "serious" magazine on the subject
Ekran: Call no.: PN1993 .S64  Popular informative magazine, formerly Sovetskii ekran.
Ekran i stsena: (in GRC newspaper collection by alphabet) popular Russian newspaper format review of cinema and theater. 

Cine-eye/Kino-glaz: Call no. PN1993.5.R9 K546 Popular Russian cinema magazine both in English and in Russian.

Kinoforum: Call no.: PN1995 .K5
Kinograf: Call no.: PN1993.5.R9 K538
Both are progressive modern Russian film magazines containing analysis and reviews.
