Russian and Soviet films in the Gelman media collection can be searched in the Articles+GW+Consortium Catalog by title or by director or by actor. For example: "War and peace" or "Mirror" or "Ballada o soldate" (in Russian), or Andrey Tarkovsky (director) or Aleksei Batalov (actor).

A good way to begin a search in the Catalog on a particular topic is to search by keyword. Please note that keyword phrases, e.g., "Alov and Naumov" or “Tarkovsky Mirror”, should be enclosed in quotes.
Book locations:
Most books on film are located in the stacks on the 6th floor of Gelman library. Look for them in the stacks to the left of the entrance into the reading area.
They will be found in the PN area and within the following call number ranges: PN1993.A3 D387 to PN1999.W3 B57 1999.
Books on film directors are found within the range PN1998.3 .A435 M37 1996 to PN1998.3 Z56 A5 2005.
Most books on Russian and Soviet cinema are found within the range PN1993.5 .R8 A15 2007 to PN1993.5 .S69 R299 2005.
Some reference books on cinema will be found in the PN area in the reference area on the main floor of Gelman.
