UW1020: Writing for Social Change

Finding Local News

Local news sources are used in research to investigate the unique climate, attitudes, and opinions of communities that exist within the context of a larger georgraphical region. While often published at the city or county level, they can also target "hyperlocal" populations -- particularly with the recent rise in blogging and social networking tools.
