The Code of Federal Regulations (CFR) is the compilation of the general and permanent rules published by the executive departments and agencies.
The Federal Register is the official daily publication for rules, proposed rules, and notices of federal agencies and organizations, as well as executive orders and other presidential documents.
Once a bill has been voted on by Congress and signed into law by the president, it is enrolled as a Slip Law. At the end of each Congress, all Slip Laws are bound into the Statutes at Large. Every six years, the Statues at Large are compiled into the United States Code.
