Environmental Science: Home

An introduction to resources in environmental science. Including sources for background information, grey literature, data and more in multiple related fields: ecology, climate, energy, policy, economics, agriculture, oceans, etc.

Welcome

The environmental sciences touch on a lot of different subjects. This guide was created with that in mind.

  • The Getting Started tab includes links to sources for background information and more detailed research articles and reports broadly in environmental science.
  • The Topic Specific Resources tab links to sources for reports and data in ecology, toxicology, oceans, climate, energy, public policy and more.

If you're new to doing online research, our guide Research: From selecting a topic to writing the bibliography is a good place to start.

If you're new to using Gelman Library, our How Do I? page contains tutorials (many with videos) on using our site and locating full-text.
