In addition to Google Scholar, for all topics a good place to begin your research are the two multidisciplinary databases Academic Search Complete and ProQuest. Many of the articles in these databases are available in full-text online. For others, the FindIt button will help you find a copy in other databases, in our catalog, or through interlibrary loan.
The specialized databases you use will depend on your topic. First, check if there is a research guide which might be helpful. You can also peruse all the databases organized by academic disciplines at the database list. See, in particular, those listed under the Law and Government and Public Policy categories.
