What Is RefWorks?

RefWorks is a cloud-based tool for managing citations and creating bibliographies. Through a subscription, the GW Libraries makes RefWorks available to all current students, faculty, and staff at the university. And as a GW alumnus, your RefWorks account follows you when you leave GW -- for free!

Using RefWorks, you can export citations from most library databases (as well as resources like Google Scholar), annotate and organize them, and format them for insertion into a Word document or as a stand-alone bibliography.

Because it is subscription-based, if you using RefWorks from off-campus, you will need to use the Libraries' proxied link to access it: http://proxygw.wrlc.org/login?url=http://www.refworks.com/refworks  (Bookmark this link in your browser for quick access.)
